The most common sensation felt during the procedure is a small pinch, like a rubber band being snapped against your skin. The feeling only lasts a few seconds and generally stops when the laser does. Our cooling equipment helps to minimize discomfort, and if you prepare properly by shaving the area fully prior 24 hours prior to your appointment, and follow the aftercare program, your pain may be reduced greatly.

The cost of laser hair removal varies depending on the size of the area to be treated, and how many treatments you may need. Larger areas of the body are more costly than smaller areas because they require more time and pulses to treat. The price is also affected by the number of sessions required to achieve the desired results. Certain areas on the body may take more treatments than others, all of which will be discussed with you during your initial consultation.

Lasers will permanently reduce the amount of hair growth, meaning some people experience permanent results, while others may need a touch up every six to twelve months. Results may vary depending on your hair and skin type. Proper preparation and aftercare also affect how long your results last.

5. How many treatments will I require?

The number of treatments you will require depends on area to be treated. Legs, bikini, under-arms could take 6 treatments. Other more hormonal areas could require 8 treatments. They are usually spaced 4-6 weeks apart to effectively reduce hair growth. We sell individual priced treatments or packages of 6 treatments to make the 6 treatments usually required most cost effective for you.

6. How long does one session take?

The length of a session depends on the size of the area to be treated. An upper lip can take as little as a few minutes including prep time, whereas a larger area such as legs or full body hair removal could take 60-90 minutes to treat.

7. How should I prepare for laser hair removal?

To prepare for the laser hair removal, avoid plucking, waxing and tanning 6 weeks prior to your first appointment. In the days before you appointment, avoid taking medications such as blood thinners, NSAID’s and pain relievers. If you are on Antibiotics or any other photosensitizing medications, it is recommended to reschedule your laser hair removal until those are stopped. Take a shower and shave the area to be treated 24 hours prior to your appointment. If you haven’t correctly shaved the area, we will have to reschedule your appointment.

It is best to play it safe and avoid Laser hair removal when pregnant. We recommend waiting until after you have given birth to begin your treatments.
